After the news from the FVA announcing that Highwind will be disqualified from the French V-Prix this weekend, due to a delay in the team's equipment arriving to the track, the team have confirmed why the team will not be taking part as a team in the team event this weekend.

Phillip Dohm arrives at Westwood as the new Deputy Team Principle
After weeks of silent speculation, the Westwood Team today announced the Arrival of new Deputy Team Principal Phillip Dohm. A long legal battle between Formula Virtual team BMPS Scuderia Meteor and former driver Mario Juan Lopez has finally concluded with the verdict favouring the Argentinian driver.
Downton team boss Bradley Downton has explained how a faulty clutch mechanism on the car of Klaas van Snelheid caused the Dutchman's slow start in the South African V-Prix.
Klaas van Snelheid made it two poles in a row for Downton as they look to extend their lead in the championship. Joining him in the top 3 for tomorrow's race will be Adrien Simon and teammate Matteo Zetticci.
Enrique Ruiz showed the impressive pace once again of the Porsche Mathershaw by setting the fastest time in practice. However Zetticci in the Downton was less than half a tenth back in second, and looks set to make life difficult for the multiple world champion in Qualifying.

By Neil Allenby Enrique Ruiz set the fastest time in qualifying today to put his car on pole position, with teammate Simon locking out the front row - however sadly the two Porsche Mathershaws were excluded from qualifying and won't get to start there tomorrow.

By Neil Allenby It was Adrien Simon who was able to beat his rivals to pole around the streets of Adelaide today, with teammate Ruiz completing a front row lockout for Porsche Mathershaw. However, the Frenchman certainly did things the hard way, as he had to rely on his first time set and was unable to complete a second run.
Klaas van Snelheid led the way for Downton in free practice today, while the second and third spots were filled by Ruiz and Simon respectively. However the session also saw plenty of drama, with five drivers failing to set a time here at the punishing street circuit.
