Following his dismissal after the 2018 season, Ryota Yoshida has returned to Ocelot after signing a contract with the team. It is currently unknown the length of his contract however he was known to be good spirts and with their being no bad blood between himself and the team.
''It's fantastic to be back and to be chasing the white rabbit with Ocelot. I understand the team's perspective back in 2018 with how they needed to do everything they could to secure 3rd in the constructors, but that being said I'm back and ready to prove things more than ever.'' The News in Japan was taken highly by investors and fans alike with the return of Yoshida who may eventually return to race alongside his other countrymen, Takahashi. Ocelot now have 4 drivers at the very least for the 2020 season with Yoshida joining Ryan, Giodano and Inman at the team. It will be interesting to see how each driver fairs in testing and if the two test drivers in Yoshida and Inman will be able to break into the team.
