Klaas van Snelheid made it two poles in a row for Downton as they look to extend their lead in the championship. Joining him in the top 3 for tomorrow's race will be Adrien Simon and teammate Matteo Zetticci. Pre-Qualifying It was Yakumi Takahashi who was the class of the field in Pre-Qualifying as he set the fastest time by 3 tenths, and looked comfortably quickest. Finn Schnyder was next fastest with Kidd filling out the top three. Takahashi's teammate Addison struggled in Pre-Qualifying, compounding a poor practice yesterday and was a whopping half a second off of the pace. Thierry Xylander once again got his car through to Qualifying, and is absolutely cementing himself as one of the star performers of this season. Meanwhile any hope Meteor may have had after practice was dashed after they found themselves almost a full second off of the nearest team even at such a short circuit, and may be wondering why they even turned up. Pre-Qualifying results below. Qualifying Klaas van Snelheid put in a sensational lap to claim pole position for the race, digging deep on his final attempt and finding an extra tenth of a second over the rest of the field. Adrien Simon was a strong second for Porsche Mathershaw and will be looking to challenge Klaas in the long run down to the first braking zone of turn two. Looking further back to the battle for 3rd in the Constructors', it looks as though the momentum is beginning to swing the way of Phoenix - they were fast enough to qualify P5 and P7 on merit, with Taylor once again having the measure of his teammate Kangur. Lucas fell in behind them in P6 and P9, but will be sent to the second-from-last row of the grid for the race. Ingram made it five teams in the top 10, in P8 and P10. Brock Kidd put in another excellent lap to lift his North Star into 11th - all hopes for the team to escape from Pre-Qualifying now rest on the young American's shoulders as his teammate failed to qualify for the race for the second time in four races. Ocelot were able to improve from practice, but are still likely to be disappointed with P12 and P14. Meanwhile Takahashi in between them will be pleased enough with 13th place, and will look to move up the order in an attempt to escape Pre-Qualifying. Stefan Klien qualified well in 15th, with FIRST hoping to put in a good enough result to avoid Pre-Qualifying after their points finish last time out. Thierry Xylander did well to get his car inside the top 20 for tomorrow's race, and with a good enough strategy, must be praying for a result like last time out, and to potentially pick up more points for the Irish minnows. Both Lopez cars once again struggled and found themselves outside of the top 20 in qualifying, with home hero Max Meyer looking incredibly disappointed after stepping out of the car. Finally it was Jules Barclay in the Westwood who qualified plum-last, almost a tenth off of the nearest car. Will Hoskins was second from last and ironically will find his starting position largely unaffected by his penalty this weekend. The grid is set then for the most strategic race of the season, and a range of strategies through the field. This will be a tense showdown of who can get it right in the stops, and we hope you'll join us for the action. See full results below.
