There are many rumours circulating in Italy this Morning that following the withdraw of Highwind from Formula Virtual that Alfa-Romeo are taking considerations into their place on the grid. The Italian Marque are to have expressed 'sadness' in seeing Highwind leave the sport and have rumored to believe that if another team can not be attracted to run thier engine that they may indeed walk out the sport.
If Alfa did leave Formula Virtual, they will leave Ocelot withing an engine for the 2023 season. This would be a massive lost given how successful the team have been with them since 2018. Klaas van Snelheid has given a philosophical reaction to his race ending engine failure in today's Czech Republic V-Prix, stating his "podium run had to end eventually."
