Today it was Phoenix's rookie Will Taylor who shocked the paddock by setting a blistering time to end up topping the timesheets in practice today.
Downton were denied pole position after a strong practice session, and were unable to get a car on the front row.

Enrique Ruiz continues a fine weekend which saw him lead practice, and will be starting from the front for tomorrow's V-Prix. Alongside him will be Downton's Klaas van Snelheid, while the Brazilian's teammate Adrien Simon lines up 3rd.
Enrique Ruiz has opened the weekend in a manner that Porsche Mathershaw will be keen to continue by setting the fastest lap time of free practice by almost two tenths over the nearest car. The two Downtons of van Snelheid and Zetticci joined him in the top three in 2nd and 3rd respectively, while home hero Simon was three tenths away from his teammate and back in 4th place.
