 Nathaniel Powers ended pre-season testing for the 2017 Formula Virtual season at the head of the times, but was run extremely close by Enrique Ruiz as the majority of teams fitted the super soft tyres.

There were early rumours that the 2017 Ocelot would be slower than it's predecessor leading to many concerns within the fanbase and team, however it will remain to be seen just where a the Tempest will be. Joining the sponsorship line up for the first time is oil company Gulf, which displays their return with classic return of gulf colours. Whilst not exactly news, Franklin have finally revealed that Jochem Van Snelheid will in fact race alongside Enrique Ruiz for the 2017 season.
