Harry Westwood, principal and owner of Westwood Racing, has said there are going to be big changes for next season. Some have been announced previously, others have not yet been announced. Westwood Racing currently sit 6th in the constructor's table, not far away from 5th. Harry Westwood tells us about his team's ambitions for this season and next season, and how they are going to set about accomplishing the goals set. Westwood has revealed that his team will be changing their livery for next season, and are planning on releasing a concept soon. The owner stated that they would lose the blue, and the rest, we would have to wait for.
Obviously he is making his own engines as has been made clear, but there has been a big development regarding the finances of the team. Harry had launched a business at the start of the season called Westwood Motors, and they make luxury and sports cars. He has slowly been reaping the profit from these teams and injecting it into formula one and GP2. He has now announced that he has made arrangements with his sponsors, as of the end of their one year sponsorship contracts, only a few select sponsors will remain. These are rumoured to be Arqiva and Martini. As for the rest, Westwood Racing will be sponsored by Westwood affiliated companies. This includes Westwood Motors (Dealerships and Online), and other possible affiliated corporations. The livery will apparently lose the large amount of blue as well, and whilst the owner has said no more than to possibly expect a concept livery soon, rumours have been linked to a Red and White striped car, in honour of Harry's favourite (and hometown) football club Southampton FC. They are rumoured to possibly be sponsoring Westwood next year, but it is unlikely.
