After much speculation, Warrior Racing will join the F1F Virtual Grand Prix Championship as of next season. Team principal Dylan Lopez was up against a number of other applicants; however the Greek based team will fill the twelfth spot. It has also been confirmed that Warrior Racing will race with Mercedes engines, and their first car to be dubbed the WR-14.
”I am absolutely delighted to officially become a family member of the F1FVGPC, and also introducing the first Greek based team to the series. I never believed it be possible when CEO Nic Morley first came up with this new championship. I was in No-Mans-Land and missed out on what I later realized was my golden opportunity. I would like to give my greatest thanks to Nic for giving me my golden ticket to the Fastest, and unarguably, greatest Virtual F1 League on the planet. After missing out some 9 or 10 months ago now, This second chance given the circumstances has taught me anything is possible, miracles happen, and a miracle has happened for us today. I cannot wait for the new season to come around, and Warrior Racing will always fight.", said Dylan Lopez. Press conference with Dylan Lopez: - Dylan, what actually happened when you say, you were in No-Mans-Land? ”Well, I didn’t really take the time to realize I could really live the dream of becoming a Manager until much, much later in the season, when I had a chat with Mr. Bradley Downton of Downton Pagani at the Hungarian Grand Prix. I almost immediately went to the HQ of the VGPC, and after getting Point Cook Racing into the IJGPC, who I am also confirming now will be racing in the all new European League, but now I may have to bring them back up (laughs), or spend more money on a 3rd team. - Can you confirm who will be racing in the European League for Point Cook Racing? ”No, they will be confirmed at a latter stage”. - Warrior Racing is officially the first Greek F1FVGPC. What prompted you to set-up your facilities just outside of Athens? ”I am a big fan of Greece, especially the history, hence why I named my franchise Warrior Racing. I am also on a mission to try and promote Motor Sports in Greece. I will be running a Young Drivers Program for experience Greek teens and young adults to get their chance to shine on the big stage in this league.” - Last Question Dylan, what goals are Warrior Racing setting for next season? ”To do the best we can. What happens happens, and we have to make the most of our opportunities on track. The first couple of races will set us up for the long run, so we want to make sure we do not fall behind our targets-to-be in the opening rounds of Season 2. Thank You All.” F1FV CEO Nic Morley also explained why Warrior Racing were chosen to fill the remaining spot in Season Two. "I am very happy to announce that Dylan Lopez's team Warrior Racing will compete in the series as of next season. Dylan has shown a lot of genuine interest in the series, therefore the final decision was made a bit easier. I want to thank everyone else who had applied to join the series and wish them well. I'm sure we could see some of those teams enter in one of the junior series", said Morley. "Warrior Racing will be the first Greek team in the series and I very much look forward to seeing them compete with the other eleven teams next season. I wish Dylan Lopez and Warrior Racing the very best for next season.", finished Nic Morley.
