Even since Team 23 announced their departure from the series rumors have been circulating around the paddock, world, and universe. According to Virtual Sport's Neil Allenby a decision has been made on who will take the popular Dutch team's spot next year. Reports also suggest that many teams applied for the position, which was then narrowed down the five. We caught up with Nic Morley in the paddock to give us his thoughts on the rumour.
"The announcement could happen soon but may not. It depends if the owner of the mystery team agrees for it to be announced. The original arrangement was that the mystery owner and myself would announce the news after the Mexico. I stated last week that nothing would be announced until after Mexico, but due to some inside situations it may be earlier", said Nic Morley. Teams, drivers and fans are still waiting for conformation of the 2015 race calender, however last week Nic Morley claimed nothing would be revealed for a while. However according to inside information Albert Park will once again host the season opening Australian Grand Prix in 2015. It was strongly rumored that Adelaide would host the Grand Prix, however talks have seemed to have broken down. In addition to this Spa, Monza, Silverstone, Montreal, Sepang, and Fuji are safe on the 2015 calender. We got Nic Morley's views again. "That is just a rumour and I can tell you that I am still negotiating with many about the circuits for next year. I think it is likely Albert Park will stay along with many others. Bahrain is off, that's for sure. Nothing is confirmed though so it's best to put and end to rumors and wait for the facts", said Nic Morley.
