News from the paddock accelerated after the most latest weekend, with a lot of teams planning and finalising their intentions for the 2023 Formula Virtual season, and to bolster this flurry of news, ARROW announced over social media today the locking down of Japanese talent Yakumi Takahashi for at least another year. In what could currently be described as a stellar campaign, the 28-year old today has penned in at least
another year with the team that provided him with the chance to shine in Formula Virtual, recently recording a personal-best and team-best finish of 5th in the Canadian V-Prix, bouncing back off a string of good results with affirmation about his future in the sport. When speaking to team principal Ben Faz, it was stated that the opportunity to extend Yakumi's stay at the team was a "No-Brainer" and a strong sign of intention for the years to come, further backed up by the enthusiastic comments that followed from the Japanese driver, stating "trust and loyalty to the team have gotten him this far in the sport so far" and that he is "extremely excited to see what is to come" from the German outfit, who have been undertaken in consortium talks in the past week, with outside sources taking an interest in the rising brand and driver in particular. A lot of questions remain to be asked inside of the paddock for the rest of the 2022 season, including the enticing battle for the World Driver's Championship. However one that can be asked in particular about this potentially up and coming team is whether or not they can continue their growth as a team, and how far can that take them up the Constructors Championship? It is unclear who will partner the Japanese driver next year, with contract talks with a certain Australian underway, it may seem all but certain for first year of consistency with the ARROW driver line-up.
