Despite success for Lucas Wilson's eponymous team at the US V-Prix last week. The teams founder and team principal will not be at the Mexico V-Prix next week. The Formula Virtual team owner is one of the worlds youngest billionaires thanks to a flourishing oil business. However problems with company and its international partners have apparently reached crisis point. Rumor's according to one source Wilson Oils is investigating a case of a high level security breach, potentially leaking information to several other state sponsored petroleum companies. Joanne Tyldesley, Lucas Chief Press Officer was questioned by American media regarding the situation. "Lucas is a busy man, he has a number of businesses. We have to remember that racing is just one part of a wider portfolio that he has to deal with. Sometimes he needs to direct attention to another part of his company, like he has with the FV team. He will be back for the next race where we hope to continue our current form".
Lucas was seen flying out to Saudi Arabia himself from the Indianapolis International Airport on Tuesday evening after the race. The team spending the previous two days celebrating a momentous win. Reports around the paddock were that many people from the Lucas V-Prix team were worse for the wear on Monday. Especially with the Grammy winning and Rock 'n' Roll legends, The Foo Fighters, providing the entertainment for the team. A statement released by the team on Friday evening confirms that Lucas Wilson's Sister, Emma Wilson, has been appointed Locum Team Principal in Lucas' absence. Emma, who has previously raced for the team, is currently their test driver. There were rumor's that she would again race for the team in 2021 but those plans have not yet come to fruition. Many believing that the LW-6 chassis is the best Lucas ever made and that the team is reluctant to change the driver line up on a competitive car.
