Seifert Racing Team announced in a press conference their Formula Virtual line-up for the 2024 season. Even though team boss Roy Seifert said last year ahead of the season start that swiss racer Danilo Forini signed a 2-year-deal, they talked about a future partnership beteen him and SRT. In the end Forini signed a new deal with SRT for 1 year only until the end of 2024.
Danilo Forini about his new deal: "I am happy that i will race for SRT next year. I have to say that i had talks with other teams for next year but in the end its good to stay here for another year to help the team and be a regular race starter." The second seat at SRT gets a rookie with Henri Ruotsalainen! The reigning VWRS champion proofed that he is worthy for a spot in Formula Virtual but it remains to be seen if SRT can give both drivers the machinery to prove their skills and racecraft. Henri showed a dominant VWRS season to be crowned champion with a 98 points gap to vice champion Chloe King. Henri Ruotsalainen about the news: "Yeah i am happy to join Formula Virtual with SRT. I try my best and we will see what i can do with the car. I hope for the best!" Henri's contract will be a long 4 year contract with additional options to leave if important season targets are missed. With both primary seats taken, Karl Beckenbauer remains as the reserve driver for 2024. Roy Seifert about the new line-up: "I am happy to announce SRT line-up for 2024. We decided to give a youngster the chance to show to the world what he can do. With Danilo, Henri has a very challenging team mate to beat. I am sure that both of them will push each other every session. Henri is an interesting and promising driver for the future. I am looking forward to see him on track with our new car. Karl remains too, he will be the reserve driver the same as this year. He is the experienced part in our team. The team on the race weekends and the factory like Karl a lot. He is a great addition to the team to stay positive in this competition."
