Formula Virtual returned to action ahead of this weekend's German V-Prix, with Adrien Simon leading the way for DS Mathershaw, ahead of Enrique Ruiz in second and Klaas van Snelheid in third, as the top three teams in the championship took the top three spots on the timesheets. The Frenchman ended the session three tenths clear at the head of the field, as he seeks to get his championship challenge back on track, having not scored a podium since Malaysia, and with only a single victory to his credit, back in Japan.
Nathaniel Powers and Tumo Kinnumen shadowed their teammates in fourth and fifth, while Allar Kangur struggled to find a good setup, ending up almost a second off the pace in eighth, behind both FIRSTs of Oleksandr Zozulya and Felix Pérez. The Holmqvist of Felix Beyer and the Meteor of Mario Juan Lopez rounded out the top ten. Bergkvist narrowly missed out on joining his teammate in the top ten as Holmqvist continue their strong run of form, while the Phoenix garage looked upbeat as both cars found themselves in the top fifteen. Just behind, Will Hoskins and Finn Schnyder appear poised to make the grid tomorrow, with the sixteenth and seventeenth best times. Further back, there were troubles for Gabriele García, who pulled over at Turn 10 with electrical problems. Lewis Ellington joined him on the sidelines after a spectacular engine blowout through the Parabolika, while a hydraulic issue on the Andromeda of Rodolfo de la Fuente left the Brazilian confined to the garage. With conditions expected to be cooler for the rest of the weekend, the order could still prove difficult to predict come both qualifying and the race. Full practice classification can be seen below.
