It was once again Mathershaw on pole, however this time it was Simon who was the fastest driver of the day. Klaas van Snelheid will join Simon on the front row, in second, and will be desperate to claw into the championship points advantage Enrique Ruiz has. The Brazilian however, was third fastest and continues his impressive run of consistency. Matteo Zetticci will start his first home race from fourth, while the Phoenix pair of Allar Kangur and Will Taylor, will lock out row three in fifth and sixth. Home hero, Puccio Giodano, set the seventh fastest time in what is speculated to be the final Italian V-Prix for Alfa Romeo as they look to have cut ties with Ocelot.
