Adrien Simon was the man to beat when the flag fell this afternoon, with the top three being covered by less than a tenth of a second in a session that saw numerous stand-ins from reserve drivers. The Frenchman was one of only two drivers to get under the 1:09.5 mark, on a day where he looked very settled. He was followed by Klaas, the second of the two - although only just making it by two thousandths. Completing the top three was Allar Kangur in the Lopez, with a promising qualifying run late on. This marks the first session Simon has been classified first since pre-season testing, and will surely be a confidence boost. Further down the grid, Thunstrom bounced back from a tough couple of races to P5, while Zettici's run of fine practice showings was dampened slightly with an engine issue that limited him to just four laps. Xylander was once again head and shoulders above Alvarez, continuing to impress the paddock. Yoshida stepped into Giodano's car today, and did a fantastic job landing it in tenth place, three tenths clear of the sister car piloted by Hunter Ryan. FIRST looked a bit lost for answers regarding their pace, with Klien standing in for Hoskins but both cars outside the top ten and looking like they were struggling; as did the other Ford powered cars with AMR and North Star both classifying below 19th place. Zozulya got a run in practice and took the wheel in Mattson's car; he found himself only two tenths off of James Vasquez. Finally, Jochem Van Snelheid took control of Barclay's car, and was only about a tenth off of would-be teammate Tumo Kinnumen. See below for full classification. We look forward to bringing you qualifying tomorrow!
