"Now in talks with the boss, hoping it goes well!" - Was the recent comment made by Franklin-F1 test driver, Enrique Ruiz, but what does it mean for next season? We already know that Franklin-Honda have re-signed Will Hoskins and taken on Mattias Hirvonen, though the latter's role is unknown. We also know that Nathaniel Powers could be looking elsewhere after financial talks between the British driver and the team turned sour. With Enrique Ruiz already embedded well into the team, will it give him the chance at a race seat for next season?
Clearly the young Brazilian has the talent, having been partnered with Powers a couple of times during his career, and only once did he not come out on top. With his knowledge of the team, and the way it works, not to mention the potential Brazilian sponsors it may bring to the team, it could be the time for Ruiz to make the step up. Unfortunately, we were unable to get either to comment on the situation, but with Hirvonen's uninspiring form this season, and Powers possibly looking elsewhere, it seems the only logical conclusion. Unless of course, there is another driver waiting in the wings...

This Powers saga reminds me of Hill leaving Williams after winning the WDC in 1996.
