Enrique Ruiz topped a session not in a Franklin for the first time on day two of pre-season testing by taking Mathershaw Porsche to the top, but like his team mate yesterday engine issues sidelined him for most of the day. Like Simon on day one, Ruiz completed just thirteen laps before having to pit with engine gremlins, but did manage to lap two tenths quicker than anyone else in just that short time frame. Klaas van Snelheid got his first taste of the BD08 and put Downton second following their table-topping time yesterday, with Will Hoskins in the FIRST just a tenth further back. Another tenth behind was the only 'full' rookie this season, Dominykas Zvironas, with the Lithuanian stepping up as VWRS Champion into the Ocelot. All of the top four lapped on medium tyres. Behind in fifth were the only two soft runners, Marcus Thunder in the Lucas putting just 0.013 between himself and Felix Beyer's Meteor, with Gabriele Garcia on track for the first time this year in the North Star lapping a tenth behind in seventh. Allar Kangur had his first run in Formula Virtual outside of a Mathershaw prepared car to eighth on the hard tyre, but his outing in the Lopez was short-lived as another Porsche technical issue reared its head, a fuel pump problem sidelining the Estonian after just twelve laps. Jules Barclay managed a problem-free run in the third Porsche powered team and his first outing for Westwood in ninth on the medium tyres, with Diego Campos in the Cheema completing the top ten on the same compound. Urmo Kruuda, James Thompson, Emma Wilson and Enzo Domenicalli were on driving duties once again for Ingram, Phoenix, AMR and Franklin respectively and filled the next four slots, while Yakumi Takahashi propped up the table for Arrow, but with a time just over a tenth behind Domenicalli, despite being on a harder compound of tyre.
