The Formula Virtual Association have today revealed their draft roster for the 2021 season which includes seventeen races. It has a few surprises with the addition of three new circuits, which equals the record of new circuits from the 2015 season. Two new V-Prix are also expected to make their debut. Austria will make it's return to Formula Virtual but this time hosting the event at the Salzburgring. Finland will make it's V-Prix debut hosting their event at the Botniaring, while the United Arab Emirates will join the roster with their event held at Dubai Autodrome which will be a night time event. As such the Mexican and Bahrain V-Prix will not be included in Formula Virtual in 2021. Despite earlier speculation, the South African and Spanish races have been included on the 2021 roster, although this may change. Japan will once again host the season opener while Brazil will close it out. The draft roster is what follows.
"These are some pretty exciting additions to the Formula Virtual roster. The Salzburgring is such a beautiful circuit with some stunning scenery, and it has high potential to give us some fantastic races. I have always wanted a Finnish V-Prix and now we will have that with the Botniaring. Once again it's a circuit, modest, that can provide some really close racing. Dubai Autodrome is among my favorite race tracks in the world. It features a challenging layout for the drivers and will provide us with great racing in night time scenery. I gave no second thought to drop Bahrain in place for a much more challenging and interesting circuit", said Nic Morley.
The draft roster may still be subject for change and a confirmation is expected later on in the year. In the meantime it is believed the FVA is looking out for another South American circuit to join the roster, while future races at Kyalami and Jerez will remain in question.
