It was Nathaniel Powers who proved the man of the hour once again, continuing his imperious form to claim another pole position. He is joined on the front row by Enrique Ruiz, while the sister Mathershaw Porsche completes the top three. Q1 The teams in Q1 looked less relaxed than usual today; they knew there would be antics regarding utilising the tow effectively around the lap. It was initially the usual suspects in the top four, as there was a miscommunication in the Highwind garage which saw both drivers backing off thinking they would get the benefit of the slipstream. On the second runs, Takahashi improved to go fastest, with Halvosen improving to second and Kidd barely improving to third while Brynildsen locked up into the Ascari chicane, causing him to bump a kerb and spin out. Meanwhile, Highwind were pulling a stroke of genius as they used the tow effectively and then accidentally had received one from Takahashi as he began another lap, and Milkovich incredibly crossed the line with the third fastest time. As the flag fell, the Russian was through, at the expense of Brynildsen. Q2 Seeing the shock that had occurred in Q1, a lot of teams were very eager to try their hand at organising some teamwork between their drivers. The front runners did a solid job of it, with Downton getting pole - albeit Klaas being mired down in 8th for the race tomorrow - and Mathershaw Porsche not far off in the top three. Franklin once again enjoyed a mixed bag of sorts, with Addison taking 4th while Forini slipped up yet again in qualifying and sees himself all the way down in 16th place. There were some strong performances in the top ten. Puccio Giodano managed to drag his Ocelot into 6th position for his home race, while Thunder continued his incredible form this season and lines up in 7th. The other story of the session was Tumo Kinnumen, who managed to put his Westwood into 9th place on the grid, his best grid slot since Germany's 8th place. Mattson put on a fantastic job to plant his Ingram alongside in 10th place, with a sublime lap that the Frenchman later described as "almost a perfect lap". It was a difficult session for Lopez, as they found themselves in 11th and 15th with Kangur and Wagner respectively; they'll be desperate not to lose grounds to their rivals for 2nd in the Constructors. Takahashi was another driver who did incredibly well, and put his Arrow in 13th place without having the benefit of teamwork that everybody around him did. Looking further back, Hunter Ryan was disappointed with a lowly 21st place, roughly half a second off of his teammate. Hanson on the other hand was only one tenth off of his teammate, showing decent pace on his second appearance of the season while he stands in for the injured Alvarez. Barclay and Halvosen never seemed to find a groove, qualifying 24th and 25th respectively, while it was no surprise that Milkovich will start last for tomorrow's race. The Highwind garage however looked as happy as anyone else despite this, knowing the importance of getting a chance to beat Meteor's 15th place finish and overtake them in the standings. That's all from us, we can't wait for you to join
