Following reports Ocelot were set to miss testing the team have arrived to reveal a striking livery. The livery consists of a mixture of metallic and matte elements. It also sees the team move to a deal with Peugeot for the 2023 season. The deal is confirmed to be currently a year long following Ocelot’s search for a new engine partner which looks to resume in 2024. The team also sees a change from black and red, to a flipped colour scheme. Following the lack of red off the grid this season, it now looks to have been filled. The 2023 car is known to be called Basilica, continuing Ocelot’s theme of Chassis names since 2018. Peugeot's Jean-Pierre Polnareff was quoted as saying “When we were looking for customers for this season, Ocelot were an obvious choice. They've enjoyed success in the past, so we know they have what it takes in this sport. Then of course there is a link already with Alfa Romeo, so it just made sense to team up. We are incredibly grateful to have them onboard and look forward to working with them in the coming season!" While Miyamoto was tightly lipped on the future he had the following to say: “We are very happy with the deal offered by Peugeot and the sponsorship of Alfa still somewhat continues with a slight reduction following Maserati’s entrance. We remember seeing the fans craving for a red car on the grid and that’s when we knew there was an appetite to be fed. Now I’m not saying you won’t see the team return to their original colours, let’s just keep our eyes peeled.” We are proud of the work Puccio has done at the team over the years and Felipe now finally has his shot at FV after a long long time!”
