Brock Kidd will remain with North Star Racing for the 2023 season, it has been revealed by the team in the lead-up to this year's Belgian V-Prix. The American is driving in his second season with the team, having scored his first points in the sport at the South African round, before following up with two further top-ten finishes in France and Dubai to currently lie 12th in the Drivers' Championship standings.
"Stoked to be racing with North Star again next season!" Kidd announced in a social media post earlier today. "We've made huge strides forward together already, can't wait to see how far we can take each other. Roll on 2023!" North Star team principal Nick Forrest was similarly enthusiastic about the re-signing. "There's no denying what Brock has been able to achieve this season so far," he told reporters, "he's been nothing short of a revelation. We're incredibly pleased that he's chosen to repay our faith in him by continuing with us for another year, as we continue to understand the car and make moves back toward the sharp end of the grid. 2023 is looking like it could be a much more competitive season for us, and we're very glad Brock's going to be there helping drive us forward again." North Star will arrive in Belgium sitting 7th in the Constructors' Standings on 16 points, ahead of AMR and fellow Ford-powered outfit FIRST.
