The 2023 Formula Virtual grid continues to take shape, as North Star Racing have shown their challenger for the upcoming season for the first time earlier today. The NS-07B, as it has been dubbed, was only shown as a 3D rendering to online viewers, but the team claims their new car will be almost identical to the model shown, with little if any changes before its first scheduled on-track appearance during pre-season testing. "The NS-07 was a foundation for us to build from in 2022," team principal Nick Forrest explained. "Luck may have gone against us over the season, but by the close of the year, we had a very good indication of where the strengths of the car lay, and which design aspects this current set of regulations are conducive towards." "The 07B is therefore an evolution of that platform, rather than starting over fully afresh once again. We're hoping to continue the momentum we built up last season with a number of points finishes, and both Brock [Kidd] and Hector [Draper] can challenge for strong results on a more regular basis." Amongst a highly congested and ever-shifting midfield, North Star finished the 2022 season 11th in the standings on 19 points, with a best result of 7th in Dubai courtesy of series sophomore Brock Kidd.
