Lamborghini has announced their intention to retain their full line up for another season. The team announced that Felix Beyer, Enzo Domenicalli and Giani Ledesma have all signed further one year contracts to keep the trio together at the team until the end of the 2024 season. The three drivers have worked together at the team since the start of the 2022 season, when the team was in it’s previous identity of Scuderia Meteor. Aldo De Lucia, the CEO of Eni Lamborghini Squadra Corse S.p.A, hailed the trio. “In Felix, Enzo and Giani we have three drivers who we know will consistently push this team forwards and drive us to success. We are so happy to have them all for another season as we look to level up. 2024 is a big year for Lamborghini as we have the new cars in this new era of Formula V, we want to make sure we are in the right place to take advantage of them and our drivers are key to doing that.” Meanwhile, Team Principal Shane O’Connell was cautiously ambitious about the new season: “It’s great to have our driver lineup finalised for 2024. We’ve been 99% for a while now but we just had to iron out some things with each of the drivers before we got everything signed and announced. All three have been crucial to Lamborghini in the team’s debut season and of course all were there in the Scuderia Meteor days too, we think we can finally reward them with a car that can at least compete for points. The pulling power of Lamborghini and the amazing work of Aldo to attract lucrative new sponsorship deals has given us the budget to develop next season’s car very early. Naturally we don’t know if we’ve nailed the new regulations yet but if we have then exciting times are ahead for the team.” 2023 was Lamborghini’s first season as a Formula Virtual team following the acquisition of Scuderia Meteor from the Caliri family at the end of 2022. The Italian marque scored a single point so will be hoping to at least challenge the top ten more regularly in 2024.
