Welcome back to the series where we assign an individual grade to each team competing this season in Formula Virtual, based on their performance relative to their expectations. This piece will be breaking into the top five with a report on North Star. Best Qualifying - 5th x2 (Japanese V-Prix, South African V-Prix)
Best Finish - 4th x2 (British V-Prix, Spanish V-Prix) Points - 50 Current Championship Position - 5th Overall Grade - B North Star have once again impressed this season, getting themselves into the fight to be the best of the rest. They've shown steady growth and progress since their debut in 2016, and look to be continuing their forward momentum. Boasting a package that regularly looks to be top six material on track in the right hands, Halvosen in particular has been exceeding expectations yet again with some fantastic performances. However, therein lies the key weakness of North Star. As the Scottish outfit look to progress further up the grid, they will need to drop Garcia in order to be taken seriously. Garcia is regularly beaten by Halvosen and appears to be underperforming under the circumstances, leaving North Star almost in a one car fight in the constructor's; evidenced by the points tallies of their drivers. Halvosen has scored 44 of the team's 50 points, compared to a measly 6 from Garcia. Overall, they have surpassed expectations, and done well to get themselves up into the battle for P4, but with two competent drivers, they could be capable of even more.
