Lucas V-Prix has announced Arden Hutchinson as it's first driver for the 2019 season. The 27 year old Austrian has previously raced for the FIRST and Meteor FV teams as well as being a reserve driver for Ingram Lucas Wilson hosted the event at the company's factory in Maidstone, champagne in hand. "It is an absolute privilege to welcome Hutchinson to the team. He is a fantastic driver and it is a travesty that he is not on the grid this year. It is a big leap of faith joining a team like ours which is a bit out of practice with Formula Virtual but I'm sure Arden will help us get towards the front of the grid where we want to be" Arden Hutchinson says he is excited to join the team for next season "When I was first starting in Formula Virtual, I always had a passion for the Lucas V Prix cars. They are a privateer team and they bring a great flair to the paddock. But when Lucas [Wilson] was showing me the team I can see that this is a very professional outfit under the surface. Lucas and Andy [Dwyer], the teams Technical Director, are really passionate for the sport and they want me and the team to succeed" It is unknown how long Arden is contracted to the team but sources in the paddock say that the team has only contracted his services initially for one year.
