On a morning dominated by the news of Kaz's return to the paddock, and the ever-present rumours of teams getting closer to finalising their lineups, the Lopez FV Team has announced their full lineup for the 2019 season to end their involvement with this year's silly season. Dylan Lopez fronted the media in the Monza paddock, "With the news that Meteor was getting taken over, we were s*** scared Mario Juan Lopez was going to lose his drive with the team, sorry kids! That's why it's taken up to now for us to finally announce Viktor Östberg has retained his seat for the 2019 season with us. We've had Beckenbauer's availability up our sleeves since Westwood's departure, but we've instead put our faith into a driver who's been with the team since 2015. That was a year where he finished 2nd in VWRS only to a certain Klaas van Snelheid, beating the likes of Halvosen, Schnyder and Zozulya in that season. The future is certainly promising for the young man.
Since Lopez... the driver, since his loan has be reinstated with the return of The Kaz, this has allowed us to promote young Rafael Palou to the test and reserve driver role from 2019. He dominated VOARS in 2017 and has held his ground much to our pleasure so far in FV2. The plan is to drive both him and Max Meyer in the VWRS next season, and continue their development toward a seat in the pinnacle of motorsport! Just like Östberg, their futures couldn't be brighter!" Comments are closed.
