Tumo Kinnumen has topped practice in Bahrain, with team mate Enrique Ruiz behind in second just ahead of Lewis Ellington in a surprise third. The Finn lapped a quarter of a second quicker than Ruiz as the drivers warmed up ahead of Formula Virtuals only night race, with Franklin showing early ominous pace as they look to close the gap on Downton in the Constructors Championship. Ellington once again put a stunning performance in for Meteor with third - just 0.012 behind Ruiz - with the Downton pair just behind, Nathaniel Powers leading Klaas van Snelheid but the pair four tenths and just over half a second off the pace respectively. The Mathershaw duo were behind in sixth and seventh but only ran one qualifying simulation and instead focused on race pace as they will start this race from the back of the grid after they missed the strategy deadline. Felix Beyer, Oleksandr Zozulya and Mario Juan Lopez completed the two ten ahead of the second Holmqvist of Sebastian Bergkvist, but while FIRST were disappointed with Zozulya's effort, they were more down-heartened when Felix Perez managed to find a wall just four minutes into the session, bringing about the only red flag. Both Phoenix drivers set laps quick enough to get onto the first page of the timing screen, while North Star showed more pace than in recent races with 14th and 18th, split by the two Ingram's who sandwiched Will Hoskins' Andromeda. Further back Carson Davenport was a solid 23rd for Lucas - a tenth and three places ahead of team mate Arden Hutchinson - but the race winner here last year - Puccio Giodano - struggled immensely, quicker only than the two AMRs as Ocelot fight to make it back onto the grid having missed the last race in Germany.
