Allar Kangur has topped practice for the Australian V-Prix, nearly quarter of a second clear of his closest competitor and former team mate Adrien Simon. The track conditions improved dramatically late in the session with Kangur making the best of these to lap in a time of 1:25.537, which none of his rivals could get near to. Klaas van Snelheid ended the day third having led most of the session early on from Simon and home favourite Nick Addison, before being displaced by Felix Perez as the track began to ramp up, having initially been demonstrated by Maximilian Thunstrom going second quickest. As the usual suspects started to wind up for another run, the track improved again as Yakumi Takahashi set the second fastest time in the Arrow before Johan Halvosen jumped to the top of the session in the North Star. The increased pace didn't come with an improvement of the grip however, something which appeared to be a premium all session as every car was seen losing the back end at some point. This culminated with Takahashi spinning at turn one following his best time, while van Snelheid replicated the misdemeanour on the very next lap. Lopez meanwhile were reaping the benefits of timing their runs to perfection, as Kangur and Wagner jumped to first and third in the times while a number of their rivals found traffic with nearly all of the 30 cars on track, indicating finding space in qualifying might be a struggle. Nathaniel Powers and Enrique Ruiz managed clear runs, but neither multiple Champion could get near Kangur, the pair ending the day sandwiching the second Lopez of Wagner in fourth and sixth. They showed better than either FIRST or Franklin however, who both sent one car out early and saw the other impeded. Will Hoskins ended up the quickest of the quartet in 11th with Addison 13th, while Danilo Forini and Perez were over a second off of Kangur's table topping time and outside of the top 20 having committed to their final runs early on. Finn Schnyder showed strong pace for local team AMR in seventh, while James Vasquez put in a marked improvement for Ingram with eighth, while Sergio Alvarez and Hunter Ryan completed the top ten.
