"We are proud to announce a deal with Honda in an agreement which can only been as perfect from both sides for 2022!" Following a reliabiltiy-torn season, questions were launched all around the paddock all season around the engine situation at the newly-cristened Arrow-Honda team, and leaks mid-season saw them being involved in the usual mid-season gossip, being rumoured to have already been negiociating with suppliers as early as France!
And following this gossip, the official announcement was revealed via the team's social media page this afternoon; the agreement will bring Arrow and Honda into a partnership from 2022 and onwards. Ben Farrell, CEO and Team Principal of ARROW had this to say: "I'm really happy to finally announce our partnership with Honda and hope it leads to both teams making increased strides up the field and towards where we both want to be, the team is very happy with the past experiences with Jaguar, of course allowing us to have the pleasure of running Byrnildsen as an employed driver of the team for the past year, and we wish the best to them and of course to their incredibly kind team principal William as well, and now we can look forward into what this partnership with Honda brings. Jamie was very persuasive and influential in the deal, having approached me in the past and peaked my interest mid-season, they have a very exciting vision for the future so we hope that we can only share that vision by partnering with them." Felicia Quinn of Franklin-Honda had this to say: "We're really happy to be bringing another team into the Honda family. This isn't just the start of a new era for Arrow, but for us as well, and I'm sure this could well lead to a strong technical partnership between the two teams. I can't personally take any credit for being instrumental with this. As Ben mentioned, Jamie was the leading force on this, and both teams, as well as Honda will likely benefit from his hard work." "Here's to a successful future for the Honda family!"
