Good afternoon and welcome to the first round of the International Junior Grand Prix Championship, live from the Silverstone Circuit for the British Grand Prix. This race is unique for its position as the season opener, but also due to the fact the winner of the race is awarded the RAC Junior Tourist Trophy, won last year by Vito Certonio for Piuttosto Veloce. Neither team nor driver remain in the series, and the 2014 season will be an intriguing one, with returning drivers including defending champion Luke Stokey with Arqiva Westwood Youth Racing. The racing should be as entertaining as ever, and while we won't be able to give you lap by lap standings or video of the events, this is by far the best way to keep up with both qualifying and the race. And, without further ado, let's begin the qualifying session for the 2014 British Junior Grand Prix. The format for qualifying has changed a little, with the 22 drivers getting a 20 minute session to set three lap times, with their best being what gives their position on the grid. This does mean congestion can occur, but the drivers need to use all of their skill to ensure this won't become a problem, and as such, no penalties will be given if someone is held up. ResultsKiara Thunder takes pole position on her debut in the series for Downton Motorsport, with Mikko Heininen and Yrjana Vahasoyrinki second and third. Jamie Gerrard is fourth and Zrigovic in fifth. Defending champion Luke Stokey takes seventh.
