Ingram FV have become the latest team to announce a special livery for the season finale in Mexico. The Mexico V-Prix is going to be a very different looking grid to normal, with Ingram becoming the fourth team to announce a commemorative livery, joining Downton, Meteor and Highwind. Ingram have chosen to honour fan favourite team Highwind in their striking new livery, alongside a smaller tribute their long-serving driver Jean Mattson. "We drew inspiration from the Imad-01 [Cheema's first FV car - http://formulav.weebly.com/formula-v/cheema-fv-racing-reveal-car-for-2019], Ahmed's favourite colour is red so we decided to combine it with our signature green, and a touch of Cheema green too. We've also written a tribute to Ahmed on the side of the car [which reads "Ádh mór to our great friend Ahmed Cheema. Diego, Nikolai, Campos Motorsport. We will miss you."]. Our teams have worked closely together, most obviously outside FV with our double victory in the Virtual 24 hours as co-backers of Campos Motorsport. Of course, we've shared a lot of drivers too, Diego Campos, Nikolai Milkovich and we had preliminary discussions about Jean becoming the third member of that elite club to have driven for Ingram, Highwind/Cheema and Campos. We've recently secured their incredible youth driver Ruotsey. We also tried repeatedly to give them Jaguar engines! We offer space to any of their crew who have been left without employment should they wish to have a new challenge. Ahmed has been a brilliant friend in the paddock and his team have been a great watch. Good luck in your future ventures."
"We also pay tribute to our longest serving driver Jean Mattson before he departs to Siefert. We have had a brilliant 8 years together, and we're delighted we at least got one podium trip together! His 2016 season stands out as one of the most consistent years the sport has ever seen, and much of our team's success has come down to Jean both in and out of the car." Mattson looked emotional as he exchanged words with Ingram - "I have to say I will always be an Ingram driver, the support I've had is incredible, believe me. I hope to end with points, maybe I can show James my Au Revoir rear wing!"
