Ingram have today announced their drivers for the 2022 season. "Hello, and thank you for attending" said William Ingram today. He was flanked by drivers James Vasquez, Jean Mattson, Oleksandr Zozulya and Nikolai Milkovich, as well as head of Jaguar Virtual Motorsport Robert Foxwist.
"I am pleased to announce that James Vasquez and Jean Mattson will continue to driver the 37 and 38 car for 2022, they will be ably supported by the returning Nikolai Milkovich as test driver. 2021 wasn't our easiest year, but the performances of James showed what we can achieve as a team. Jean will be the first to admit that he didn't have his greatest year last year, but we know the performances he is capable of and we are both confident that he can return to his highest level. We are very happy to welcome back Niko to the fold. Once he confirmed he couldn't find a race seat for 2022 it was a no-brainer to bring his vast experience back to the team." "Of course this means Oleksandr will not have a seat with this team for next season. Sadly we can only run two cars. However, I would like you all to welcome our special guest - Adrian Arnello!" A large screen behind Ingram turned on to reveal the AMR team principal. "Hello!" beams Arnello. "Yes - we knew a driver of Oleks' calibre wouldn't find it too difficult to find a seat and we are very happy to confirm that he will be driving for AMR next season." The audience looked to Arnello for his reaction, but it was the head of Jaguar Virtual Motorsport, Robert Foxwist, who spoke next. "On behalf of the Jaguar team we'd like to thank Oleks for his excellent work developing our engine this season. 2021 had some great highlights Jaguar in FV - the Vasquez podium was very welcome, as were Arrow's first points. Adrian is clearly a man who can spot a manufacturer on the up and we are delighted to welcome AMR to the Jaguar fold for 2022." ""It's an exciting change and we're on all board for it! We definitely feel for Ford, and they've given us some wonderful machinery these last few years - they've done such an amazing job and we wish them all the very best! It's a bittersweet split, but we know we've made a strong call, and with our chassis, we're keen to see it all come together next year. Or not, for all we know! That's the fun of the game of FV" said Arnello. Zozulya added, ""It's an exciting opportunity to race with AMR, and with Jaguar coming on board too, I think it will be a great year. I've seen the work going on and it's all headed in the right direction. Here's to a great year!".
