Will Hoskins has ended day three of pre-season testing fastest, as for the third day running only one team ran on the super soft tyres. The British driver dipped just below the 73-second mark, but came up two tenths shy of the time set by Raj Sharma in the Lopez yesterday. Similar to yesterday, the times immediately behind were set by those on soft tyres, from Enrique Ruiz in second down to Maximilian Thunstrom in eighth. The only exception to these was Danilo Forini in the Franklin, setting a time good enough for sixth fastest on the medium tyres, 1.2 seconds off the ultimate pace. In front, Ruiz was a shade under seven tenths behind Hoskins - showing improvement for the Mathershaw Porsche team - while Ryota Yoshida recovered well from yesterday's engine troubles to take Ocelot to the third fastest time, just over eight tenths behind Hoskins. Tumo Kinnumen returned to action for Westwood for the first time since 2017 and duly went fourth fastest, ahead of another strong showing for Phoenix - with reserve James Thompson lapping just over 1.1 seconds slower than Hoskins. Dmytro Kovalenko continued to underline AMR's marked improvement with the seventh best time, while Maximilian Thunstrom continues to find his feet in the Lucas, just seven thousandths behind the Ukranian. Lopez went from fastest yesterday to ninth today in the hands of Allar Kangur - albeit on the mediums - yet the Estonian lapped quicker than Klaas van Snelheid - the Dutchman on his first outing in the new Downton - though by only two thousandths of a second. Hector Draper got his first FV experience for North Star and ended the day just outside of the top 10, while Arrow's new recruit Zander Brynildsen managed the twelfth fastest time albeit on the soft tyre, the Norweigan ending up some half a second shy of the next soft tyred time. Diego Campos continued his running in the Highwind, this time sampling the mediums and ending up two tenths clear of Carson Davenport's Meteor, while Jean Mattson ran in the Ingram for the first time and completed the leaderboard, with the Frenchman the only driver to run today on the hard tyre compound.
