As the Mexican V-Prix will be Highwind's last in FV, I will run a special livery to commemorate our time in FV. The livery features memories from some my team's most memorable races - Turkey 2019, where Nikolai Milkovich diced his way to 9th and our first points, Brazil 2019, where Diego Campos showed why he's the best driver ever to grace this sport and Malaysia 2022, when Thierry Xylander cemented his place as a team legend with one of the best drives of the season (in my non-biased opinion). The US 2014 miracle of Diego also features as what still remains the greatest moment in the history of this sport (again, no bias). The logos of each team that we have raced are also there. I'd draw special attention to Ocelot, who have supplied out engines from day 1 while Rai has always been a huge helping hand, Ingram, who's Will Ingram has been a joy to work alongside on the Campos Motorsport project, and Phoenix, where Alex has just been a massive legend. That doesn't diminish any of the other teams: Downton and Mathershaw have always been the teams to look up to and my conversations with Bradley and Robert over WRC and engineering respectively have always been enjoyable. AMR and Ryan's tenacity to continue to their tough years and pull together a breakthrough this year is extremely commendable, given how much I struggled with last year and our poor form. Ben meanwhile with Arrow has turned a new team around to a formidable contender in such quick time that I have no doubt he'll remain a key person in FV for the future. FIRST and North Star beforehand set the standard for how to run a new team and I'm glad I saw both teams reach the heights of 3rd and 4th - as well as getting the opportunity to fight with them on track this year. Lopez kicking butt last year was one of my highlights of 2021, as well as their epic debut win back in Japan in what feels like an eternity ago - I hope they continue to pull those giant killing performances. Meteor have been at the blunt end with us during most of our time but Beyer's Belgian performance this year was a banger and reminded me why the small backmarkers are sometimes the best. My (very) brief battle with Westwood at the start of 2020 was balling and I always wish I managed to drag that out further - as well as that, Harry was instrumental in the completion of this livery and I can't thank him enough for that. There are those as well who I've raced (I use that term loosely) in the past: Franklin, who's legacy in FV is unforgettable, and Jamie's character in the paddock was one of the things that brought FV to life, as well as actually being a very cool guy out of character. Lucas, who brought us the hero that is Maximillian Thunstrom and who I admire a lot for managing to storm up to a top team in just a few years. And finally, Andromeda - I doubt Hector will see it but I look back fondly both on their participation in 2019 and my various conversations with him over Formula Classic. I've included other random bits and bobs on the car as super duper obscure easter eggs that reflect my interests as I wanted this livery to be a bit personal as well (sacrificing an actual good looking car - totally worth it), as well as just some random stuff for the laughs and fun - as that's what I do feel I joined FV for. I would be lying if I said my interest hasn't waned over time, but ultimately when I look back on my time here - I had those laughs and fun when I saw my car on track being rubbish and then accidently doing well on rare occasions, having the most random conversations with the people here and just having an all round good time. I don't regret leaving but I don't regret joining in the first place. Finally, this reference will make no sense to any of you but I have to include it to satisfy a personal urge, I'd like to dedicate this to Carlos Braithwaithe, Matthew Hayden, James Thompson, Cleopatra, Jason Bourne and my non-existant pet squirrel.
