20th October 2019: Istanbul, Turkey After a battling first half of the race, Nikolai Milkovich throws the die and pits for wets. An inspired call, it locks him in a duel with Jean Mattson for 9th. Milkovich defends, defends, defends, right to the last lap - and after Mattson spins, he comes home 9th to bring his team their first ever points. 8th December 2019: Interlagos, Brazil Diego Campos barely makes it through Q1, and lines up plum last. The race is chaotic, the title swings back and forth several times. The Spaniard holds firm throughout, cool and calm as ever. Keeping it on the black stuff in a wet/dry thriller, he takes an incredible 8th, his first points in 5 years. Two icons, not only of the beloved Ingram, but also of the soon to be gone Highwind team. Now, the two reunite in practice for the Brazilian V-Prix, driving in the #17 and #18 cars that they made famous. The idea, reportedly, came from a meetup between Highwind principal Ahmed Cheema and his Ingram counterpart, William Ingram, who in turn agreed to loan Milkovich - currently Ingram's test driver - to the team. Recruiting Campos was more dramatic - Cheema tracked down the US 2014 legend in rural Spain and challenged him to a chess match - victory for the Irishman ensured Campos would make the trip to Brazil for the practice session. Neither driver was available for comment by FVTV, but Ingram was happy to show his enthusiasm: "All the team are delighted to see Nikolai drive for Highwind one more time. He's a brilliant driver and Ahmed runs a great team, we'll be very sad to see Highwind leave so we're happy that we could help celebrate the team in this small way." Cheema, on the other hand, kept his thoughts rather brief: "It's only practice, but it feels like getting the gang back together." Indeed, it may not be much more than a practice cameo to onlookers, but it'll be an emotional moment for Highwind as the duo not only bring the team's era to a close, but perhaps also their own in FV.
