Jamie Franklin - Team Principal/Owner
It's nice to arrive back in Australia. It's a track we've gone well at in the past, from claiming our first podium in the series, to Wagner setting the fastest ever lap around here in 2015. This year, we come here under very different circumstances. At the moment, we're still looking for a result to ensure that we don't fall into Q1, and we only have a couple of races now to make that happen. Realistically, it's not impossible, only the bottom four teams fall into Q1, and our best finish is 18th so far, with Lucas securing a 17th and Meteor a 16th, so I think we have a shot. Without Nick's troubles in Malaysia, he may well have taken that 17th from Lucas, so I think the progress is promising and we can start taking the fight to them more consistently. Enzo Dominicalli - Race Driver - Best Australia Result: 3rd Melbourne is a nice track to drive, I have good memories of racing here and got my second ever podium here in 2015. The car seems to be getting better, or maybe I'm getting more used to the car after racing in Indy for so long. I have not really much to say other than we get out on track and we do the best race we can to try and beat the Lucas and the Meteors. Nick Addison - Race Driver - Best Australia Result: N/A I'm so pumped to be here, mate. I'm not stranger to street circuits, and I think it definitely separates the men from the boys. The car isn't perfect, but I think it's getting better. The team's working hard and I think we're all pretty damn focused on making sure that we get something out of this. Unfortunately, Thunder slipped away from me in Malaysia with the issues I had. But whilst Lucas thinks they're faster than Franklin, I come from a land down under, and I KNOW I'm better than Thunder. Ivan Soto - Technical Director I am familiar with Melbourne circuit, I know the challenges it poses, especially when it comes to weaknesses of our car. The data we gained in Malaysia proves that we have reliable package but not quick enough yet. This is especially good for Australian V-Prix as it can get hectic, so I think this race in particular will be a turning point in Championship and who will be in Q1 in few races time. Felicia Quinn - Chief Designer The progress so far has been promising. With the fact that last year's Melbourne qualifying and 2018's Malaysia qualifying were both effected by rain, it's hard to draw a comparison in terms of how the field will be spread from Malaysia to Australia. Our predictions from Japan to Malaysia were pretty much spot on, so we've been able to draw positives from that. I do feel that things will be closer in Melbourne, so we need to capitalise on that. It's not the easiest track to overtake on, so a good qualifying could be vital to ensuring a decent result, and with a closer field and some of the changes we've made the package, we're feeling a little bit more confident about achieving that.
