A week ago rumors circulated the paddock that FV CEO, Nic Morley, would be stepping down in his position and thus putting a dark cloud over the future of Formula Virtual. To the delight of fans, the FVA and Nic Morley have confirmed that the latter will remain in his position until the end of 2021. Morley added in his confirmation that he was annoyed by the recent rumors, but is excited to continue and begin the next chapter in Formula Virtual history.
"The rumors are rubbish and I'm a little annoyed. Okay, I can see where they came from, I've been hit hard mentally and physically of being the CEO of this sport. Flying all over the globe and the continuous meetings with teams and event organizers can certainly take it's toll especially after seven years. That is just part of the job and the business we are in, it's a series we all enjoy, but ultimately there are always going to be ups and downs, so it's very important to take a step back every now and then and jot down the things you love about your job before you make any hasty decisions. Formula Virtual under my reign will continue until at least the end of 2021. So I hope that ends those rumors. I also hope the current teams can confirm their future commitment in the series so we can truly have a bright future ahead of us.", explained Morley. The Australian also added his thoughts on the current season. "I am really enjoying the title battle this year and I really have no clue who the favorite is just yet. Downton look very strong as of late, but the Franklins and the Mathershaws are right in among it too. I can't count out the FIRST team either, they look competitive too. Even at the tail end of the field it's exciting, the whole field seem so close. 2018 was a brilliant year for Formula Virtual, but I'm confident 2019 can top it", said Nic Morley.
