We were able to get quotes on the announcement from key personnel, as can be seen below.
FIRST Motorsport co-owner and Team Principal Adam Blocker: “FIRST Motorsport are pleased to announce that our driver lineup for 2021 will remain the same as it did in 2020. The team has made a noticeable step up in performance this past season, and we were happy with the performance of our drivers. We took our first two wins, we got our best career constructors’ finish (3rd), seven podiums, and scored points in every race. I believe the stability of maintaining a consistent driver lineup will help us to continue to build on our performance from 2020, solidify ourselves as front runners in Formula Virtual, and hopefully win some more races in 2021.” FIRST Motorsport race driver Felix Perez: “After our strong performances this year including a maiden win for myself and the team in Silverstone – something I’ll remember forever – it was really easy to sign a deal to continue with this team. This team has supported me from early in the junior ranks and we are growing stronger together in Formula Virtual. I look forward to what we can achieve in the future and how I can contribute to our success.” FIRST Motorsport race driver Will Hoskins: “2020 was a memorable one for me, with the highlight being my win at Indy. It broke a huge winless streak for me and obviously it was a home win for the team – storybook stuff. I got the opportunity to prove to the paddock that I still can regularly contend for podiums and race wins, something I wasn’t sure would happen again. I look forward to having that opportunity once again in 2021 and working with the guys to improve our performances further.”
