Rock Hill, SC -- FIRST Motorsport have put out a press release announcing that Felix Perez, Stefan Klien, and Carson Davenport will all continue with the team in the same capacity they had in 2022. The team statement read: “FIRST Motorsport is proud to announce that our current driver lineup of Felix Perez, Stefan Klien, and Carson Davenport as reserve will continue into 2023.All of drivers are valued members of the team that we look forward to continuing to work with throughout the season in 2023 and beyond.” 2023 will be the sixth season in Formula Virtual for Felix Perez - all with the FIRST team. He will be just shy of 100 starts at season end, and has 1 win and 5 podiums with the team, although 2022 was his worst season results wise besides his 2018 rookie campaign. Stefan Klien will be entering his second season of Formula Virtual having had an up and down 2022. Stefan impressed at the Belgian V-Prix - qualifying 3rd in the wet and finishing 5th in the race, but lacked the consistency of teammate Perez - only getting two points scoring finishes vs seven such finishes for Perez. It’ll be the second season as the team’s reserve driver for Carson Davenport, who last raced during 2021 in an uncompetitive Meteor. Carson’s planned involvement with the team in terms of on track appearances is unknown.
