Nathaniel Powers has topped practice ahead of the 100th race in Formula Virtual history, while Championship leader Adrien Simon failed to set a time after crashing heavily at Eau Rouge in the opening five minutes of the session. Powers set a time of 1:49.337 to top the session by two tenths from team mate Klaas van Snelheid, with Tumo Kinnumen just 0.017 further back in third. The Finnish drivers team mate Puccio Giodano was fourth - just over half a second back from Powers. Thierry Xylander was handed a practice run at his home race in place of Allar Kangur - just days after it was announced he will race for Phoenix next season - and ended the session fifth fastest, ahead of the Franklin duo of Enrique Ruiz and new recruit Nikolai Milkovich. Behind the Russian was his former team mate Jean Mattson and the second Ingram of James Vasquez, with Carson Davenport completing the top ten ahead of the Holmqvist duo. This all came well after the dramatic moment in the session however, with Adrien Simon losing the back of the car at Eau Rouge and ploughing into the outside tyre barrier halfway up the hill on his first flying lap. The session was red flagged for fifteen minutes as the mess was cleared, with Simon taken to the medical centre as a precaution. See below for Official Practice Classification: Comments are closed.
