Downton FV Team have announced an unchanged line-up of Nathaniel Powers, Klaas van Snelheid and Sam Hudson for the 2019 Formula Virtual season, just hours after Sergio Alvarez was reportedly spotted driving the BD06 at Silverstone. "Nathaniel and Klaas will continue on as our race drivers in the 2019 season," Bradley Downton commented in an interview, "there was never any doubt of that. They will once again be supported by Sam in the reserve and development role, as we have been very impressed by the work he was done this season."
The announcement comes hours after it was reported earlier today that Sergio Alvarez was seen driving the teams most recent car - the BD06 - at Silverstone in a secret test. "We'd also like the clarify the ridiculous rumours from earlier about Sergio driving our car at Silverstone. The test was indeed private and has been planned for months as an end-of-season run for the guys who spend the season working in the factory, so they could see their hard work in action and meet the drivers." "Klaas was behind the wheel but as he arrived in Britain back from Brazil realised he was without a helmet, which had got lost along with one of his suitcases. He did however have a helmet that he had been gifted to him by Sergio when they helmet swapped after the race in Brazil, which thankfully fitted him perfectly and so he used that for the demonstration run. These reporters need to make sure they have all the facts before writing up barbaric stories." Comments are closed.
