Italian team BMPS Scuderia Meteor have confirmed their drivers for the 2022 Formula Virtual season. Scuderia Meteor Team Principal Shane O’Connell said “Felix and Giani stay with us for 2022, in their current roles. Enzo Domenicalli has been signed by the team to partner Felix. Enzo comes into our team with a wealth of experience and talent which we think should be able to help us to climb the ladder of Formula Virtual to where we want to be. We are so excited to get started with Enzo.” Enzo Domenicalli joins the team with many years of experience in FV. The Italian began his career with Scuderia Rossi from 2013-2015 before joining Ocelot for 2017 as reserve after a year out. He also competed in IndyVirtual for Cerberus in 2017 and 2018 before returning to FV with Franklin in 2020, following their effective reset. He now finds himself in eVirtual driving for the Pepsi Max Mercedes-K8ley team, before he will join Scuderia Meteor in time for the 2022 FV season. Domenicalli was quoted as saying, [translated from Italian] “For me it is a great honour to sign for a historic team as Scuderia Meteor. The team is not in a good position lately but I would like to do my part to help bring them back to what they once were. I love to run and enjoy my time in eVirtual but FV is the pinnacle and enjoy the opportunity to return.” Felix Beyer, who will enter his third season with the team, knows the challenge ahead, “Big improvements need to be made from both sides. The car was nowhere near competitive last year but I wasn’t at my best either. There are clearly ongoing problems around the place but we need to pull together to make the best of what we can.”
