Australian team AMR have finally unveiled the new-look livery on the 2024 Formula Virtual car, following technical issues that delayed the launch. With a predominantly white base met with black wings, the livery feels familiar to yesteryear’s race-winning car, but with a flick of colour adorning the endplates and wheel covers. Team principal and confessed larrikin Adrian Arnello was first to speak once the livery was unveiled at the team factory today. “We love it, obviously! Simple and clean was the theme for this year, following on from what we had last season. We didn’t go overboard or get fancy with colours. Just a clean, mean, AMR machine. That’s gotta be worth points or podiums again.” “It’s looking great, but most importantly we want it to be fast,” stated Swiss driver Finn Schnyder, who took his maiden win last year at Dubai. “If it goes as well as last year we are in for a treat. We just hope we can keep the momentum.” Newcomer Brock Kidd shared his thoughts alongside the Swiss driver; the former North Star Racing driver having joined the team for this season. “It looks great, and the colour is a nice touch. I’m thankful for the opportunity to drive this year with AMR, and I think we’ll turn heads again with the right work ethic. I will get up to speed fast and keep Finn honest. That’s a promise!” Media personnel were also eager to share their first impressions, with several stating the car “looked simple” but “could be right up there again.” Frequent wins would propel AMR forward in a way they haven’t quite managed in their existence, with last season a strong reminder of the team’s potential for the future. “We’re gonna get stuck in and do the best we can,” reminded Arnello. “Just keep our heads down and put in the effort. That’s our goal, and we’re sticking to it like flies on sh- yeah never mind!”
