The Formula Virtual Association have today confirmed the 2021 race schedule. Nic Morley and Douglas Bacon announced what the fans of the series can expect next year in regards to races. The schedule will remain at sixteen races, meaning the previously provisional calendar including seventeen races has been altered. The previously announced Finnish V-Prix that was to be held at the Botniaring will not make it's debut in 2021, however the option remains there for future seasons. The United Arab Emirates V-Prix will make it's debut being held at the Dubai Autodrome, while the Austrian V-Prix will make it's return being held at the debuting Salzburgring. The Bahrain V-Prix and Mexican V-Prix will not be included in 2021. The United Arab Emirates V-Prix will be held at night, while the Turkish V-Prix will be a twilight event. Japan will once again open the season in early April at Fuji Speedway, while Brazil will once again take honors of hosting the season closer at Sao Paulo. Pre season testing will be held in March at Estoril. The official 2021 race schedule is listed below, however the dates are not yet exact.
The FVA have also revealed there is no plans to extend to more than sixteen races a season in the future. This does however open up the possibility of alternating different V-Prix between seasons which the FVA said they will look at. This opens up the possibility of the Finnish V-Prix joining next year or other future venues.
