On the morning before pre-season testing, Highwind have finally revealed their 2021 challenger. The team showed up to Estoril with a car fully decked in blue but have released images of the real livery on social media, which marks the start of a new era for the team after a change in name last year. Initially the car was set to be revealed on the 19th, but was brought forward 2 days to coincide with St. Patrick's Day. Images of the car were revealed first before pictures were shown for the car on track in Ireland for a shakedown. The livery is a major departure from last year's car, with red and orange no longer featuring on the car. The main two colours instead are now green and blue, with the main body green and blue lines flowing across the side, along with other designs. The car shown included test driver Diego Campos' name and number, despite him being in Estoril. No statement or comments were included in the reveal and the rather low-key nature of the event has worried some people, especially after the team's financial issues last year. There are some positive signs however - there are quite a few new sponsors in the form of Sega, Vittel and Kaspersky. Petronas sponsorship also features heavily with their brand Primax making an appearance. See below for images of the car:
