With the 2021 Formula Virtual World Championship done and dusted, all of the team managers were invited along with a representative of the FVA to cast votes to determine the top ten drivers of the year. All sixteen members included in this exclusive voting process were required to list their top ten drivers of the season, with ten points awarded to their best, and one point less as they went down the order until their tenth best driver would receive just one point. It was Nathaniel Powers who claimed his fifth championship in 2021, but would the members of this voting process vote him as the best driver of the year? What drivers made the top ten? Well, let's find out! 10th - Thierry Xylander - 38 votes
9th - Danilo Forini - 38 votes
8th - James Vasquez - 48 votes
7th - Adrien Simon - 55 votes
6th - Nick Addison - 56 votes
5th - Maximilian Thunstrom - 79 votes
4th - Klaas van Snelheid - 97 votes
3rd - Enrique Ruiz - 109 votes Enrique Ruiz ended the 2021 season off very, very strong. In the final five races he claimed three wins and three pole positions. His end of the season was so strong he only ended up nineteen points off the championship lead. The duel world champion finished every race he competed in, and claimed points in every race bar one. Enrique Ruiz was incredibly fast at times, delivered the results consistently, and stayed true to his signature aggressive and exciting racing style that the fans adore. It is no wonder he has been voted in as among the top three best drivers of 2021. 2nd - Allar Kangur - 116 votes Allar Kangur delivered yet another stellar campaign in 2021. Along with Ruiz, the Estonian driver finished in every race he competed in. The start of the season in particular was strong for Allar Kangur, claiming multiple podiums and putting himself right in to championship contention. As the season went on it became clear that Lopez could no longer compete for wins, however Kangur continued to bring home some solid results. Allar Kangur was also the only driver to score votes from every member of the voting panel (excluding Lopez), which shows that his impressive performances are welcomed by everyone. 1st - Nathaniel Powers - 127 votes The 2021 Formula Virtual World Drivers Champion, Nathaniel Powers, has been voted as the best driver of the season. The now five time World Champion produced one of the most dominant seasons in the history of the sport. The British mega star won seven of the first eleven races and thus dampened the spirits of anyone hoping to challenge him. It didn't seem to matter what strategy he was on, what position on the race track he started in - Nathaniel Powers always seemed to find a way to get the win among other solid race results. His impressive speed, race craft, and mentality was once again put on display as it has been in prior seasons. While the end of the season wasn't as glamorous results wise for Powers for a variety of reasons - it didn't matter as he won the drivers championship in fine form and extended his record of titles that will likely never be beaten. Nathaniel Powers deserved the championship, and he has rightfully been voted as the best driver of the 2021 Formula Virtual World Championship season.
