Championship leader Adrien Simon was restricted to a sole flying lap in qualifying for the Turkish V-Prix as his cars hydraulics failed just ten minutes into the session, but his opening lap was never bettered and he will therefore start on pole position.
Will Hoskins will join him on the front row with the second DS Mathershaw of Olen Inman in third.
Enrique Ruiz will line up alongside Inman on row two, just pipping his team mate Elroy Wagner, who has Stuart Harrison for company on the third row while Ingram lock out row four. Further back it was a disappointing session for both championship contender Johan Halvosen and last races pole sitter Carson Davenport, who start tenth and twelfth respectively, in amongst the AMR's.
Judson Sikes was the fastest driver of the new teams - seven tenths quicker than Douglas Bacon's FIRST and just three tenths slower than Hilario Bull in the Ocelot - while Aron Einarsson was unlucky not to get himself off the back row of the grid on his return to the series. He will be joined by team mate Kiara Thunder who failed to set a lap in qualifying with an engine problem.
