Elroy Wagner has claimed his third pole position of the season, setting the fastest time ahead of his teammate. It was a day of celebration for Team 23, as the Dutch team locked out the front row of the grid for the French Grand Prix. Home favorite Jean Mattson was disappointed to miss out on pole from his teammate by less then a tenth of a second. Will Hoskins set the third fastest time, ahead of Karl Beckenbauer. Championship leader Nathaniel Powers will start from fifth position, with Adrien Simon behind in sixth. Team 23, Franklin F1, and Mathershaw Technology once again locking out the three front rows. James Harding was seventh quickest for Molto Veloce, while Carson Davenport, Puccio Giodano, and Hugh Dwyer rounded out the top ten. Keith Boston set the thirteenth fastest time in his first qualifying ahead of his teammate Douglas Bacon. Felix Beyer has returned to the series, this time driving for Orange Downton Pagani after replacing Kip Maxwell; he was nineteenth. Forecasts suggest the race will be held in dry, but cool conditions. Team 23 will be aiming to get their championship back on track and to make the most of the opportunity that presents them.
