Kaz Armos: Next season teams are going to have to choose between money for development and driver performance. Which do you believe will be the most important for teams to succeed?
Nic Morley: Honestly I think it will be a mixture of both. Those who have been developing on next seasons car more than others will have those crucial extra ability points; whether that is 0.1 more or 1.0 more. On the other hand drivers will have ability improvements at the conclusion of this season, depending on their age or how successful they have been. I will explain all this formally at the end of the season.
Antonio Rossi: Who would you prefer to win the title this season?
Nic Morley: I don't mind either way. I think it's safe to say only Powers and Mattson have a shot at taking the drivers title this season. Both are brilliant drivers, both from great teams. One of the biggest joys of running this series is that just like everyone else, I have no idea what will happen. In terms of excitement and build up I would prefer to see the championship go down to the wire. Whether that happens or not I have no idea, but I will be one of the first to congratulate the driver who does win the championship.
William Ingram: Who would be your dream team in terms of drivers?
Nic Morley: That's a tricky question because as we have seen this season many drivers have impressed in one way or another. If I was to base the answer on current performance I would pick Mattson and Davenport.
Dick Diceman: Hi. I have noticed that some teams have borrowed their drivers for other teams. How this happens and how much do I have to pay for the team if I take their driver for a race or two?
Nic Morley: The price tag is completely up to you and the manager you are negotiating with. For example, if you were to borrow Adrien Simon for the remainder of the season; you must negotiate this with Robert Mathershaw. It is up to him he wants to charge you a price, make some sort of deal, or be generous and hand you him for free.
Antonio Rossi: Do you plan to have highlights of qualifying next season?
Nic Morley: I would really like to do this, yes. This season I have been posting reports on qualifying, so that has sort of been the qualifying review. Next season, I would like to show a quick, like a two minute video review on qualifying. I also want to post on-board pole laps; however I do have the current season laps already recorded so watch this space.
Kaz Armos: Rumours are circulating the paddock that Molto Veloce may not be on the grid next season, is there any truth in the rumors?
Nic Morley: As I assume everyone knows, Hollis Graham has not been active in the series for quite a while. This has left the Molto Veloce teams without race strategies and active development. I have waited for his response, though I have not received. I will end the speculation and confirm Molto Veloce will not be on the grid next season. I put a lot of effort and time into running the series so naturally I would prefer active members.
Antonio Rossi: What do you make of the problems at Molto Veloce?
Nic Morley: I am not sure what has happened to the team and why Hollis has not been active. Perhaps we might hear from him sometime in the future. As I have said the team will not be on the grid next season, but I still want twelve teams. As of now I am looking out for a twelfth team and I will explain things clearer within the coming days.
William Ingram: How long do you plan on running the series?
Nic Morley: I love running the series, and really like how everyone is contributing to it. I'm not being smug or anything, but I am very proud of how the series has progressed. Together the F1F Virtual is now the second most posted thread on the F1 Fanatic forms. I think that shows how successful it has been. Ultimately the time will come in my life where will just not have the time. I'm sure something will be worked out by the time that problem arises though.
Lucas Wilson: How much funding do new teams receive in the their first year?
Nic Morley: New teams and twelfth placed teams will receive £15,000,000 spending money. The prize money for other championship positions can be seen on the finances page of the official website.
Kaz Armos: At present the battles in the midfield are very close. Do you see these battles getting closer in the final races? Do you have any idea who could win?
Nic Morley: I am interested in the mid field battle. It seems as if Lucas Wilson Grand Prix will hold onto fifth position, though it is very close for sixth between Meteor and Westwood. It is just too close to call if I'm to be honest, both teams are on and off each race. There is also Fun F1 who are doing very well at the moment in the hands of Tumo Kinnumen; so maybe they could close in? If I was to place a bet, my bet would be Lucas Wilson in fifth, Westwood in sixth, and Meteor very close behind in seventh.
William Ingram: Are you hopeful Morley Engineering drivers will be in the F1FVGPC next season?
Nic Morley: It would be nice to see, but I don't really mind. I entered a junior team so I could present young stars in my eyes to teams in the main series. I have decided I will not post a list of drivers at the end of the season, but instead drivers can be signed from the junior series. Robert Mathershaw has done a fantastic job of running these, and it will give the whole Virtual universe more of a story. A junior series, an endurance series or who knows what could be next? Many drivers will come and go, but when you think about it only a handful of them will make it to the top league; just like in real life.
