Stuart Harrison, the new Peugeot IJGPC driver is now the firm favourite to race a Meteor next season despite only recently being announced as a replacement for Odile Abel in the junior series. Earlier news broke that Adrien Simon has now decided to stick with his current Liverpool team for next season with Kazuki Armos describing the news as "unfortunate but not all bad".
In an interview with Neil Allenby from VirtualSport Armos said that, "the ball was firmly in Liverpool's court. There was the option that they could retain Adrien and they have done. I fully respect Robert and his team for doing this and there are absolutely no hard feelings. It's unfortunate, we have lost a great driver but it's not all bad as we now have a significantly larger budget available for next season". Kurtis Gardner who had a low fee contract with the team has also parted with ways by mutual agreement. Armos followed onto this news by telling Allenby that, "Kurtis is a driver with promise, he showed that in the USA. However, we are not in a position to offer him a race seat next season. We believe that other teams can and we have hence terminated his contract". A final change following recent management changes at Peugeot sees French female racer Odile Abel lose her seat in the IJGPC to the young American Stuart Harrison. "We expect Stuart (Harrison) to race for us next season. He is a young, talented driver with plenty of room for growth and development ahead of him. I see no reason why he should not be a part of the team next season".
